Lady Pintos capture third place at Versailles Tourney

After defeating Osage 46-26 in the first round of pool play at the Versailles Tournament Dec. 10, California’s varsity girls lost 52-41 to Fatima Dec. 11 in pool play, then went on to defeat the Versailles Lady Tigers 64-48 Friday to capture a third place finish at the tourney.
The Lady Pintos led 13-9, 37-18 and 49-33 in the contest for third place. Kelsey Roush led California with 19 points, followed by Kamryn Koetting with 18. Sydney Deeken had a double-double as she scored 12 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for the Lady Pintos.
Versailles was led by Madison Sherman with 20 points.
