Courtwarming comes to CHS

Courtwarming week is a week for everyone to participate and express themselves in different ways.

This years spirit days were Monday-hat day, Tuesday-multiplicity day (getting many people to dress alike), Wednesday-student/teacher swap day (students dress like teachers and teachers dress like students), Thursday-reality T.V. Day (dress like your favorite celebrity) and Friday-school spirit day.

Courtwarming week gives students a chance to dress up and be different. Each student has a different day that is their favorite. Ashlee Davis' favorite day of the week was hat day." It is easy for everyone to participate in," said Davis.

Students are not the only ones who get to dress up during courtwarming week. Members of the faculty dress up too. Counselor Cathy Hights favorite day of the week was Reality TV Day.

"It is creative, fun and there are a lot of options for dressing up," said Hight who dressed as one of History channels Swamp People.

Every year each grade does a class banner that shows class unity to come up with something they can all be proud of.

The week ended with a pep assembly to get the student body excited about the games. They cheer, have class competitions and meet the basketball teams. The courtwarming dance was held in the high gym Saturday, Feb. 18 from 8-11 p.m.
