JEFFERSON CITY - The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for Wednesday, Feb. 29 through Friday, Mar. 9, 2012. Weather conditions may cause postponements in the work schedule. Other construction or maintenance work may occur on other roadways throughout the area. Many projects will include lane closures and delays can be expected. MoDOT reminds the public to buckle up, slow down, follow posted signing and drive safely through work areas. Boone County
Daylight Hours/Overnight Hours
Route 63 from just north of Route 163 to Route H - Construction of a new diamond interchange and southbound lanes. Motorists should expect periodic lane closures.
Route H is temporarily closed at U.S. 63. Traffic is being detoured to Hardwick Lane, located near the U.S. 63 roadside park. Route H will remain closed at U.S. 63 until the new interchange opens to traffic.
The contractor continues with bridge construction at Turkey Creek and at Route H.
Motorists should be prepared for periodic reductions in speed limits through the work area.
The entire project is scheduled for completion late 2012.
Callaway County
Daylight Hours
Interstate 70 bridge over Cedar Creek at mile marker 135 - Bridge repair will take place in the westbound lanes Wednesday, Feb. 29 through Friday, Mar. 2. One westbound lane will be open to traffic in the work area.
Camden County
Daylight Hours
Route 5 between Route 54 and the Morgan County line - Roadway maintenance will take place Wednesday, Feb. 29 through Friday, Mar. 2. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Cole County
Daylight Hours
Route 54 between Old Bass Road and Route CC - Improvements at 12 intersections along 8.5 miles of U.S. 54 to improve safety and traffic flow.
- Most work on the project will be suspended for the winter, but crews will be working off the roadway at Buffalo Road and installing lighting in various locations. Work to install lighting will take place on the shoulder of the roadway.
The entire corridor is scheduled for completion in fall 2012.
Route 179 between Route C and Edgewood Drive - Grading, drainage, and bridge paving for a new interchange. Periodic lane closures may occur, and motorists are advised to use caution through the area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2012.
Route M between Route W and Bald Hill Road - Culvert pipe replacement continues through Friday, Mar. 2. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Crawford County

Route BB bridge over Cherry Valley Creek south of Woolsey Road - Bridge replacement is scheduled to begin on Thursday, Mar. 1. The bridge will be closed to traffic through mid-April. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route around the construction. This project is part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.

Route AA between Route 19 and end of state maintenance - Roadway maintenance continues through Wednesday, Feb. 29. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route PP between Route 19 and end of state maintenance - Roadway maintenance continues through Friday, Mar. 2. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Crawford and Washington Counties

Route 32 between Route P and Route EE - Roadway maintenance will take place on Thursday, Mar. 1. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Gasconade County

Route P between Route 50 and Route 28 - Culvert pipe replacement will take place in various locations through Friday, Mar. 9. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Maries County
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 28 bridge over Dry Fork two miles south of Route Z - Bridge replacement is underway.
The bridge will be closed to traffic through early April. Motorists are being detoured around the work area on Routes 63, 42 and Z.
The weight limits on the Route C bridge over Peavine Creek have been upgraded for truck usage. This project is part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.
Route BB bridge over the Little Maries River west of County Road 628 - Bridge replacement is scheduled to begin on Monday, Feb. 27. The bridge will be closed to traffic through early April. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route around the construction. This project is part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.

Route M between Route 28 and the end of state maintenance - Roadway maintenance will take place Thursday, Mar. 1 through Tuesday, Mar. 6. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route EE between Route 28 and the end of state maintenance - Roadway maintenance will take place on Wednesday, Mar. 7. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Miller County

Route 17 bridge over Saline Creek three miles north of Tuscumbia - Bridge maintenance will take place Monday, Mar. 5 through Friday, Mar. 9. One lane will be open to traffic in the work area.
Route 52 bridge over Route 54 - Bridge deck repair continues through Thursday, Mar. 1. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Osage County

Route 133 bridge over Sugar Creek in Meta - Bridge replacement is scheduled to begin on Monday, Mar. 5. The bridge will be closed to traffic through late-April. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route around the construction. This project is part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.

Route T between Business Loop 44 and Route 133 - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, Mar. 5 through Wednesday, Mar. 7. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route Y between I-44 and the end of state maintenance - Roadway maintenance continues through Thursday, Mar. 1. One lane will be open and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Washington County
