Lady Cardinals lose to Macks Creek in overtime

Tipton's varsity girls basketball team hosted Macks Creek Thursday night, where the Lady Cardinals lost a close contest in overtime, 44-39.
Macks Creek led 24-13 at the half, however, the Lady Cardinals came back to even the score at the end of the second half. In overtime, Macks Creek outscored Tipton 7-2 to clench the win, 44-39.
Paige Baker led Tipton with 9 points, followed by Ashton Pace with eight.
"We had a bad first quarter and were down by 11 at the half," Tipton Coach Linda Scott said. "We played our best two quarters of the year in the second half. We moved the ball well, and our defense stepped up, which allowed us to score 24 points. The girls played their hearts out.
