California Stingrays open season at Fulton

The California Stingrays traveled to Fulton on June 6 to compete in their first swim meet of the 2012 season, where many were top finishers in their event.

Stingrays Head Coach Kristie Glenn said, "The swim team is very excited to be back in the pool. Although we've only had a few practices, we're off to a great start."

Individual results for Stingrays who finished in the top six of their event are as follows.

In the boys 7-8 25-meter backstroke, Will Pickering placed first with 25.36, and Eli Dunnaway, fifth, 36.56; girls 25-meter backstroke, Abby Trachsel, first, 28.18, and Madison McCord, third, 29.78; boys 9-10 25-meter backstroke, Garrett Burger, fifth, 35.68; girls 9-10 25-meter backstroke, Amber Trachsel, second, 20.68, and Zoe Zimmerman, fourth, 24.61.
