Students in grades K-6 had to read or be read to throughout the second semester of the school year to get their names in the drawing to win a bicycle. For every 50 minutes they read, their name was entered in the drawing. The Masonic Lodges of Boonville and Bunceton sponsor the program.

On the last day of school at Prairie Home School, itt has been a tradition for five years now for students to drive tractors, gators, dump trucks, etc. to school. The students met at the Prairie Home Cafe for breakfast on the last day of school, May 17, then headed to school. Standing in front of just a few of their large rides, from left, are Klay Holliday, Jonathan Brandes, Kole Holliday and Kendra Stinson, Sam Distler, Adam Lohse, Trever Huth, Clinton Mitchell, Ty Stinson, Rayce Kendrick, Ross Kendrick, Jeff Rinacke and Riley Owens. Klay and Kole Holliday, Brandess, Stinson and Huth are all FFA members.
