Three former students from Cole R-1 Schools received America FFA Degrees at the National FFA Convention.
Abigail Kautsch, Kent Shikles and Kelsey Shikles were recognized with the organization's highest honor. Only one percent of membership even is eligible.
Other students participated in leadership building sessions with 55,000 students from all 50 states and Puerto Rico.
They toured several agricultural businesses, including GSI Grain Bin Manufacturing, a buffalo farm, and a show feeds elevator, where they learned how to begin the digestive process on ruminant animals.
