Road Work

Cole County

• Route B over the Osage River bridge north of St. Thomas - Bridge rehabilitation work continues. One lane is open, and temporary traffic signals are moving traffic through the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

• Route E between Route B and Route H - Chip sealing roadway surface to extend pavement life. The operation is scheduled to begin the week of July 15. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. Drivers should lower their speeds through the area. Motorists should expect delays. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

• Route U between U.S. 50 and Route C - Chip sealing roadway surface to extend pavement life. The operation is scheduled to begin the week of July 15. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. Boone County

• Stadium Boulevard at Interstate 70 - Construction of a diverging diamond interchange continues. One lane of eastbound I-70 will close from 7 p.m. Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday as crews pave the on-ramp. The eastbound on ramp to I-70 will be closed for approximately four hours Wednesday as crews pave the on-ramp. Motorists should seek an alternate access. Construction is scheduled to be completed in the winter of 2014.

• I-70 over Hominy Creek west of exit 131 - Bridge and pavement replacement in the eastbound and westbound lanes continues. Westbound traffic will be shifted to temporary lanes during the upcoming week. Motorists are advised to slow down and pay attention to trucks entering and leaving the median. The entire project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

• Route Z at I-70 - Bridge replacement, shoulder widening, roundabout construction and resurfacing continues. St. Charles Road is closed at Route Z to allow for the construction of a roundabout at that intersection. Crews continue work to tie in the newly completed overpass over I-70. The entire project is scheduled for completion in August.

• U.S. 63 overpass over Missouri 763 north of Columbia - Bridge maintenance will take place Monday through Thursday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

• Missouri 163 between U.S. 63 and Route K - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday through Thursday, July 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Callaway County

• Route CC between Missouri 94 and Route O - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday through Thursday, July 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Camden County

• Missouri 5 bridge over the Lake of the Ozarks at Hurricane Deck - Bridge replacement continues. Much of the work currently taking place will not affect traffic. However, traffic could be stopped briefly to allow equipment to be moved. The entire project is scheduled for completion in spring 2014.

• U.S. 54 at Missouri 5 - Roadside maintenance will take place Monday through Thursday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Cooper County

• I-70 between mile markers 94 and 106 - Roadway resurfacing and guardrail replacement in the eastbound lanes continues. One eastbound lane is open through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Cooper and Moniteau counties

• Missouri 87 between Route O and I-70 - Roadway resurfacing, widening of shoulders, and installation of rumble strips continues. One lane is open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

Gasconade County

• U.S. 50 between Route T and the Franklin County line - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday and Tuesday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

• Route J between Missouri 100 and the Osage County line - Roadway maintenance will take place Wednesday and Thursday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Maries and Gasconade counties

• Route C between Missouri 28 and Route B - Chip sealing roadway surface to extend pavement life. The operation is scheduled to take place Wednesday, July 17, and Thursday, July 18. Motorists should expect to encounter loose gravel on the road surface for several days after the seal coat is complete. At that time, crews will sweep the roadway. Drivers should lower their speeds through the area. Motorists should expect delays. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Maries and Osage counties

• Route M between Missouri 89 and the end of state maintenance - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday through Thursday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Miller County

• Route V between U.S. 54 and the end of state maintenance - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday through Thursday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Miller and Cole counties

• Route FF between U.S. 54 and Route A - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday through Thursday, July 18. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Morgan County

• U.S. 50 at the Union Pacific Railroad Bridge west of Syracuse - Bridge deck replacement continues. Traffic over the Lamine River bridge is controlled by temporary traffic signals and a temporary concrete barrier has been placed along the bridge

between the work location and the active lane. The railroad bridge is closed to complete the overlay work in the eastbound lanes. Periodic lane closures can be expected through the work area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in the fall.

• Route P between Missouri 5 and the end of state maintenance - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday through Thursday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

• Route MM between Missouri 5 and the end of state maintenance - Roadway maintenance will take place Monday through Thursday. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Osage County

• U.S. 50 between U.S. 63 and Route W - Construction of new lanes continues. Much of the work currently taking place will not affect traffic. The entire project is scheduled for completion in fall 2014.
