Felony drug charges for marijuana

A felony charge has been filed in Moniteau County Court against Gregory Alan Balsley, 28, California, in connection with the alleged attempted production of marijuana.
According to court documents, Balsley has been charged with Class B Felony Distribution, Delivery, Manufacture, Produce or Attempt to or Possess with Intent to Distribute, Deliver, Manufacture, Produce a Controlled Substance.
The charge resulted from a search of the bedroom of the defendant at a residence on Lorene Street and alleged discovery of five marijuana plants growing in a closet under artificial light and heat, and parphernalia including digital scales, glass smoking pipe and a marijuana grinder.
If convicted on this charge, the defendant could face from five to 15 years in prison. Bond has been set at $30,000.
