A galactic theme will decorate the Cole County R-1 High School stage for the annual school carnival beginning at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
Tickets for the class- and organization-sponsored booths will be sold 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Offerings include the FFA dunking booth, junior's chili and dessert super, senior cake walk and lots of games. The band will perform throughout the evening.
Booths will close at 7:45 p.m. to allow for the coronation at 8 p.m.
Candidates include: 6th graders Heidi Brennecke, daughter of Chuck and Ann Brennecke, and Braden Hickey, son of Ryan and Darla Hickey; 7th graders Chyan Wilkes, daughter of Andee Whitson and Gary Doolittle, and Ethan Huff, son of Bob and Elaine Huff; 8th graders Brooke Kremer, daughter of Randy and Michaela Kremer, and Trenton Thompson, son of Mitchell and Laura Plochberger and Jack Thompson; freshmen Addie Kirchner, daughter of Kris and Tammy Kirchner, and Cole Dawson, son of Corey and Michelle Dawson and Angela Dawson; sophomores Macie Moeller, daughter of Michael and Dana Moeller, and Jake Brockman, son of Ron and Lori Brockman; juniors Haley Windsor daughter of Lee and Deaubra Windsor, and Chase Pistel, son of Kevin Pistel and the late Christy Pistel; seniors Amberlyn Grellner, daughter of John and Jill Grellner and Ginger Grellner; and Gabe Raithel, son of Carl Raithel and Carrie James.
