The California High School cross country team competed at the Helias Invitational Saturday at Binder Park, Jefferson City, where the varsity boys were led by Adam Burkett, while the varsity girls were led by Leah Korenberg.

Burkett medaled with a sixth place finish individually with 17:56. Zach Merrill and Justin Mitchell also medaled for the Pintos. Merrill placed 14th with 18:47, and Mitchell finished 16th with 18:56.

Korenberg medaled with a sixth place finish individually for the Lady Pintos with 22:03. Katie Imhoff also medaled, as she finished 14th with 23:02.

Next up for the CHS cross country runners is a meet at Fatima at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26.
