The 2013 Volunteer "Thank You" dinner was held Sunday, Oct. 6, with a theme of a 'Royal High Tea'. This is the opportunity for the staff to express thanks to those who give of their time and talents to the library. This includes board members, friends and those who help staff the library. It also includes people who have helped with special events like the Mystery Dinner Theater, Summer Reading Club Programs and the 140th Birthday celebration for library founder, Elia Wood Paegelow.

As part of the event, Michele Bilyeu explained tea etiquette and other information concerning the British custom of "Tea Time". Guests enjoyed a four course tea that featured chicken salad, cucumber sandwiches and a variety of savories and sweets and of course, tea. The meal was prepared by Michele Bilyeu, Dotty Gump and Amy Brizendine. Servers were Abby and Emily Bilyeu. The tea cups and tea pots were from Michele's and Dotty's personal collection.

Library Director, Connie Walker, thanked everyone for their contribution to the library over the past year. The event was sponsored by Gail and Dorothy Hughes.
