California Elementary helps "Fill A Ford"

The students of California Elementary School joined in the effort to "Fill A Ford for the holidays" collected a total of 2,392 pounds of canned food.

The food collected by 31 classes of elementary students was transported in four truckloads, in two trucks provided by Sakelaris Ford. According to Elementary Principal Daniel Williams, the food collected average 80 cans per classroom. The collected food was taken to Cargill Food Pantry, at Moniteau Christian Ministries Center, to be distributed in time for the holidays to those in need.

The "Fill a Ford for the Holidays" program began in 1990 and has expanded to many other dealerships over the years. This is the second year for Sakelaris Ford to take part in the food drive.
