The Cole County R-1 Middle School Student Council collected 50 cans of food for the local food pantry from a recent Dodgeball Tournament.
Eight teams of middle and high school students participated.
The students also raised $400, which will help cover the cost of the "Holiday Dinner" of fried chicken, potatoes and biscuits provided for middle school students and staff Dec. 20.
