The ninth annual California Last-Day-of-School Pool Party was held for California R-I students in grades pre-k through 12 Wednesday, May 21, at the California Country Club, where approximately 90 children enjoyed an afternoon of swimming, music, food and games, including a sponge relay race, marshmallow toss, and vertical bucket toss.
Also offered was a game that entailed chiseling away at ice blocks to get to small toys embedded in the ice.
A temporary tattoo station was provided for party-goers, as well as photos taken with crazy sunglasses and a tropical backdrop.
Attendees were also treated to hot dogs, chips, cookies and a drink.Â
The annual event was organized by Stacy Kusgen, Kristen Everett, Kim Robertson, Pam Green, Julie Bolinger, Michelle Sumner and Heather Edwards.
The California Country Club Open House will be held 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Saturday, May 31, featuring half-price green fees for nine holes, free swimming, and grilled hotdogs served at 12 p.m.
