The California Middle School track team competed at the middle school conference meet May 12 at Osage, where a number of CMS athletes were top finishers.
CMS Head Track Coach Jill Meisenheimer said, "Though I haven't gotten our conference team results yet, I do know many of our athletes got their personal records for the season at the conference meet, and we had many second through sixth-place medals for our team."
Seventh-grader Colden Imhoff set two new conference records: in the Discus Throw with 121'05"; and in the boys' mile with 5:15.00.
The seventh grade boys' relay team of Isaac Ash, Nathan Pickering, Alex Meisenheimer and Imhoff placed first in the 4x400 Meter Relay with 4:17.24.
Seventh-grader Trinity Higgins placed first in the seventh grade girls' 75 Meter Hurdles event with 13.90.
Kyle Hofstetter placed first in the eighth grade boys' Long Jump event with a personal record jump of 17.07.5.
"We did a really nice job at the conference meet," Meisenheimer said. "We had a lot of peak performances."
CMS Pintos who earned the most points for the 2014 season (high point medalists) are Imhoff, first place with 144 season medal points; Toby Dalbey, second place with 101 points; and Ash, third place with 83 points.
