Smith trial now scheduled for December

The trial in Moniteau County Court of Travis R. Smith was reset on May 16.

According to Court documents, Smith and his attorney, Shane Farrow, appeared before Judge Kenneth Michael Hayden. At that time, the trial previously scheduled to begin June 4 was reset to begin Dec. 1.

The California man was arraigned on felony sex charges filed on Sept. 28, 2012, according to information in Court documents. The two charges filed include six counts ranging of felonies from forcible rape to sexual abuse. The charges are for incidents alleged to have occurred in 1998, 1999 and 2005.

The accused pastors a church in Stover, in Morgan County. He remains free on bond.
