The Russellville High School volleyball teams opened the 2014 season with matches at Hallsville Tuesday, Aug. 26, where both the varsity and JV captured a win.
Russellville's varsity defeated Hallsville 25-18 and 25-23.
"We came out ready to go and played together," Russellville Coach Shelly Korte said. "The girls worked hard to pull off a victory. Our middle hitters were set up and executed six kills each."
Russellville's JV defeated Hallsville 25-13 and 25-11.
The varsity Lady Indians were on the road Friday for a match at Stover, where Russellville lost 4-25 and 14-25.
'The girls learned what they need to work out to become a more compete team," Korte said.
Russellville will host Chamois at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4.
