Russellville JV defeats Chamois

The Russellville High School volleyball teams hosted Chamois Thursday night, where the JV Lady Indians captured a match win, 16-25, 25-8 and 15-4.

"Our JV executed a well-played game," Russellville Coach Shelly Korte said. "The girls hustled and did a lot of fundamentally correct things. Our JV record is 2-1."

Russllville's varsity lost to Chamois, 23-25 and 22-25.

"Our top scorers were Hallie Dampf and Chloe Ruble," Korte said. "Our varsity played inconsistent and not up to their ability. We will be working hard on our passing and to play as a team."

Russellville's varsity is 1-2.

Korte added, "We have a tough week ahead of us. We are hoping to have a good week and to bring home our first trophy Saturday, from the Tipton Tournament."

Russellville will host Father Tolton at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11.
