Mid-Mo Ambulance proposed annual budget approved

At the regular monthly meeting of the Mid-Mo Ambulance District board of directors Wednesday, Sept. 10, a proposed budget for the 2014-15 fiscal year was approved. Administrator Lee Kempf presented the budget with total projected funds of $2,928,140.90 with projected expenses of $2,849.500. Reserve funds projected amount to $78,640.90.

The board approved the bid of $3,441 by Xtreme Coatings & Foam Insulation LLC, Jefferson City, of the insulation of the garage in Barnett.

In other facility maintenance needs, the bid of $2,950 of Lyndell Salmons of Custom Coatings and Accessories was accepted for work in the Tipton facility. The flooring will replace the tiled area in the kitchen area, office restroom and hallway / entry ways. Salmons commented that the work includes removing all the cabinets, plus redoing the entryway in the crew quarters.

The board approved payment for bills and payroll. In other business, the Aug. treasurer's report of the balance on hand was $528,507.30. Run statistics were: Tipton - 52 calls with 34 transports; California - 76 calls, 45 transports; Versailles - 144 calls, 103 transports; and Barnett - 41 calls, 26 transports. District wide, there were 313 calls with 208 transports for a transport rate on patient contact calls of 72.5 percent.
