The 16th Annual Diaper Derby was held at Village Green

Autumn Fisher, daughter of Anthony and Alana Fisher, California was the winner of the girls division of the 2014 Ozark Ham and Turkey Diaper Derby. She was presented her first place plaque and Best Girl Crawler onsie by Carolyn Kiesling, Midwest Title and Escrow.

The 16th annual Ozark Ham and Turkey Diaper Derby was held at Village Green Shopping Center with baby races at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 20. The event was sponsored by Midwest Title and Escrow and provided the opportunity for babies to participate in the Ozark Ham and Turkey Festival.

Law officials in Parkland, Wash., search an area near a coffeehouse where four police officers were fatally shot Sunday in what was called a targeted ambush.

During each race, parents, or whoever brought the baby to the event, were on one end of the "racecourse" and babies were at the other. Toys, food, keys or anything to entice the crawlers across the finish line was used.

There was no charge for the event. Contestants had three minutes to cross the finish line which was no problem for this years winners. Boys and girls raced separately.

Competing in the girls race was Autumn Fisher, daughter of Anthony and Alana Fisher, California; Katana Fisher, daughter of James and Tonya Fisher, California, and Cori Moffitt, daughter of Matt and Gentry Moffitt, Tipton.

Crossing the finish line first for the girls was Autumn Fisher and finishing first for the boys was Mason Combs.
