Farmers Market offers a great variety

There has been a wonderful variety of produce at the Farmer's Market this spring, summer and now autumn. The produce vendors have worked hard to grow and market a wide variety of products for the local consumers.

Throughout the season, one of the vendors has supplied the public with homemade baked yeast breads. A few of the vendors baked delicious sweets to nibble on while strolling through the market and to take home to share.

For the eternal shoppers, there have been vendors selling various craft items. The perfumed soaps have been a big hit. Shoppers are encouraged to stop by and purchase these soaps as stocking stuffers for the holiday season. With the wet weather ahead, help keep your doorways clean and dry; check out the hand-loomed rugs that are durable and washable.

During the entire season, there has been the opportunity for any non-for-profit organization to use a booth free of charge. There is still that chance. Call Marj Friedmeyer at 796-4628 to reserve a booth for your organization.

The Farmer's Market will continue to be operating for the next three Friday afternoons from 4 to 7 p.m. The last market will be held Friday, Oct. 10.
