HARTSBURG - California and Russellville competed in the eighth annual Southern Boone Golf Classic last Wednesday at Eagle Knoll Golf Club, and the Pintos had a strong showing, placing fourth. The Indians placed 13th in the 17-team field.
Mexico won the event with the score of 324 and Southern Boone and Blair Oaks finished second and third with scores of 344 and 345, respectively. The Pintos shot a 366 and Russellville had a 454.
Kade McAdams was the only Pinto to place in the top 15, sitting at 15th with an 86. Dylan Kramel placed 19th, carding an 88, and Kale McAdams was third on the team with a 93, good for 29th in the 82-man field. Liam Schatzer finished with a 99 to finish off the Pintos' scoring.
For Russellville, Coy Bond led the team with a 93 and Cody Willingham was second on the team with a 108.
Blair Oaks' Tanner Elder was the medalist with a score of 74 and Walker Kesterson was runner-up with a 76.
