Pintos defeat Jamestown Eagles

The California Pintos defeated the the Jamestown Eagles 48-41 Friday, Dec. 11.

Jamestown came out strong Friday night leading the game 4-0 during the first three minutes of play. However the Pintos put things together to take the lead at the end of the first quarter of play 7-6. During the second quarter the game intensified with a number of fouls were called as Jacob Wolken and Wyatt Hunziker went toe to toe. Jamestown continued the pressure as the game was tied on several occasions and each team scoring 11 during the quarter. California managed to take over the lead with a buzzer beater 3-point shot by Peyton Peters giving the Pintos the lead 18-17 at the half.

Whatever Eagle Coach Seth Thomas told his team during half-time was very effective. As the Eagles had their largest lead of 8 during the third quarter. And finished the third with a 29-26 lead over California.

The Pintos came out firing in the fourth quarter and went on a 10-0 run the first four minutes of the quarter. And ended up out scoring the Eagles 22-12 for the win.

Jamestown was led by Garrett Wolfe with 15 points followed by Hunziker with 11 and Trenton Barbour scored 10.

California was led in scoring by Landon Mouse with 20 points. Ethan Hodges and Wolken each contributed 11 for the win.
