Lady Indians finish 1-2 at Russellville Basketball Tournament

The Russellville girls basketball team went 1-2 during its own tournament last week, losing to Eugene, 61-48, in Saturday's consolation final.

The Lady Indians began with a loss to Jamestown, 55-45, on Tuesday, Jan. 27. Junior Mickayla Strother had 17 points for Jamestown, while junior Alli Muri added 14 points and junior Mackenzie Strother scored 11. Russellville senior Haley Windsor had 15 points and senior Justice Miller scored 12.

Russellville bounced back with a 61-44 victory over Belle in Thursday's consolation round. Miller finished with 17 points, senior Adrianna Basnett had 15 points and sophomore McKendra Fischer added 10 points. Basnett also had 12 rebounds and 11 steals to register a triple-double.

Prairie Home 75, Belle 43

Sophomore Rachel Distler had 23 points for the Lady Panthers, who defeated Belle in the opening round of the Russellville Basketball Tournament on Tuesday, Jan. 27. Prairie Home sophomore Shianne Rhorer finished with 17 points, while junior Makayla Zey scored 13.

Tipton 72, Green Ridge 42

The Lady Cardinals remained unbeaten this season with a commanding victory over Green Ridge in Thursday night's Kaysinger Conference matchup. Tipton, which improved to 20-0 overall and 9-0 in the conference, was ranked No. 4 in last week's Missouri Basketball Coaches Association Class 2 state poll.

Prairie Home 64, Calvary 51

Senior Rayce Kendrick finished with 23 points and six rebounds for the Panthers, who beat Calvary on Thursday night. Senior Kody Simmons had 12 points and nine rebounds, while senior Sam Distler scored 11.
