California Farmers Market to be held on Saturdays for the 2015 season

The California Farmers Market committee held its 2015 organizational meeting and announce a change in when the market will be open.

The new schedule of the market at Smith - Burke Park on Railroad Avenue near the Nutrition Center in California will be open on Saturdays from 9 to 11 a.m. Vendors may set up their booths at 8 a.m.

Vendor booth prices will be the same as last year; $50 for the 25 day season with reserved booth spaces, April to October, or $10 daily. Booth spaces will be reserved on a first come basis.

Produce from Moniteau and adjoining counties only may be sold. Local handmade craft items are permitted.

Each Saturday one not-for-profit organization may sell without booth fees.

Food items may be sold under state heath requirements. All food items must be under a canopy. Copies of the rules will be available on request.

The committee is inviting people to become members of California Farmer's Market to serve as managers at the market.

The chairperson is Pam Green and may be contacted at [email protected]. Other committee members and market managers are Marj Friedmeyer, Tom Winters and Richard Schroeder.
