California Historic District plans first Mini-Museum Crawl

The California Historic District's Promotions Committee met on the evening of March 3 for the monthly meeting. Plans are underway for upcoming events. The first event planned for 2015 is the annual Cinco de Mayo festival to be held May 2 in the historic downtown area on North High Street. A Mini-Museum Crawl is planned for May 30 and will encompass many of the businesses in California. The committee is very excited about the Mini-Museum Crawl as this will be the first of its kind in California. The committee has commitments from a number of local collectors, but is seeking interest from others who would like to display some of their treasures in a historic California business for the day. Interested parties may call 573-796-0282 or 214-532-1429 or email Pam Green at [email protected] for more information. There will be a wide variety of collectibles with one exhibit displayed in each participating business.

The committee's next monthly meeting is planned for April 7.
