Coming soon to the Historic Finke Theatre in downtown California - second annual "Finke Theatre Has Talent" contest - scheduled for May 1 and 2.
This will be an event where Moniteau and its surrounding counties' residents can perform on their instruments, practice dance steps, tune up voices and perform before judges who will determine the best local talent of 2015. Only amateurs will be allowed to compete in the contest.
The first performances will take place on Friday night, May 1, with elimination reducing the contestants to the best five. These five performers will again compete on Saturday, May 2, with one contestant being crowned the 2015 Finke Theatre talent winner on Saturday night.
The contest will also include an audience participation vote of choosing a favorite performer on Friday night. This favorite will be invited back on Saturday to perform again.
Prizes for the finals on Saturday night will be first place $500, second place $300, and third $100.
