The Pintos had a strong showing at the District Track Meet in Clinton, earning the District Champions honor. The boys advanced to Sectionals in 14 events, placing in the top-two in nine events.
Josh Woodruff, Dylan Norton, Nathan Squires and Walker Borghardt were the four first-place winners in individual events, and the 4x400-, 4x200- and 4x400-meter relay teams placed first. For the third meet in a row, the boys broke the school record in the 4x400-meter.
On the girls' side, the Lady Pintos finished fourth in the 12-team field. Ashley Sommerer and Kayla Allison took second and third place in the pole vault and Katie Imhoff and Jasmine Wells finished second in the 800-meter run and 300-meter hurdles, respectively, while Allison placed third in the 300-meter hurdles.

Tri-County All-Conference winners
California Democrat
CALIFORNIA - The Pintos came away with a good showing of All-Conference athletes in the Tri-County Conference Track Meet last month. The top-three finishers in individual events and top-two in relay events earn All-Conference honors.
On the boys side, three Pinto runners claimed All-Confernece in four events and four other earned the honors in four three events. Three of the four relay teams placed in the top-two, which is award All-Conference rights.
Eight girls earned All-Conference, including Jasmine Wells in two events. Ashley Sommerer and Kayla Allison both won All-Confernce in the pole vault, and the girls' 4x800-meter realy team (Wells, Alayna Porter, Savanna Qualls and Katie Imhoff) claimed All-Conference.
