JOPLIN - California's Sophie Brant and Russellville's Mikala Jungmeyer and Madison Oliver particpated in Class 1 State Tournament on Monday and Tuesday at Twin Hills Country Club in Joplin.
Brant shot an 85 on Monday position herself 14th after the first round. Jungmeyer was tied for 17th with an 87 and Oliver carded a 100 to place 59th.
On Tuesday, Jungmeyer improved her score by eight strokes to shoot a 79, as she finished 11th overall with a 166. Brant carded an 87 on day two, finishing in 16th place with a 172, and Oliver carded a 99 to move up one spot to 58th overall.
A total of 89 golfers participated in the Class 1 State Tournament, and Pembroke Hill's India Gaume earned State Champion honors with a 72 and 78 to finish with a 150.
