Jamestown 12, Higbee 0:

JAMESTOWN - Behind sophomore Garrett Wolfe's three hits, the Eagles had no problem with HigbeeAug. 31. Jamestown's offense scored five runs in the first inning, three in the second and four in the fifth, outhitting Higbee 11-4.

The win improved Jamestown's fall record to 3-2.

Wolfe was 3-for-4 from the plate with two home runs and seven RBI in the game, and Austin Flippin and Cole Theissen had two hits a piece. Flippin had two singles and two runs scored, and Theissen had two singles, two RBI and one run scored.

Colton DeVore started on the bump for the Eagles, allowing four hits and striking out five. Flippin pitched the final inning, striking out the side in 15 pitches.

Russellville 3, St. Elizabeth 2:

The Indians were out-hit by St. Elizabeth 7-5, but escape with the 3-2 win last Tuesday night.

Russellville took the 1-0 lead in the second inning off Noah Stubinger's two-out single. Nick Thompson singled to center with one out, then stole second. Stubinger single came two batters later.

In the fourth inning, the Indians grab the lead once again. Isaac Kirchner walked to lead off the inning, then Cole Freeman doubled to left field to put two on with no outs. Thompson's ground out tied the game, then Mason Stewart - who courtesy ran for Freeman scored off an error by the catcher.

Thompson led the team from the plate, batting 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Russellville 6, New Franklin 4:

The Indians jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the first inning, then extended that to 6-0 in the fourth. New Franklin battled back to cut it to 6-3 in the fifth, but ultimently fell 6-4 to the Indians Friday.

Kirchner hit a three-run home run to left field in the opening inning for the early lead, then a couple of singles in the fourth inning scored three more. Cory Minor singled to right to score Stubinger, and Freeman singled to left to score Minor and Seth Kuda to take a 6-0 lead.

Freeman was 3-for-4 from the plate with an RBI and Kuda was 2-for-4 with two runs scored.
