Youth Baseball Camp sees big turnout

Frigid early morning temperatures did not stop the 2016 California Pintos Youth Baseball Camp from being a success.

Nearly 50 boys from California Elementary School were in attendance on Saturday, April 9 at the high school baseball diamond to participate in drills, such as catching fly balls and running the bases.

With the high school coaches and players on hand to instruct and supervise the drills, campers got the chance to be on the new baseball facilities with the athletes who use it everyday.

“I like to see all the little kids’ energy,” said California sophomore baseball player Kyle Hofstetter. “It’s fun to help them out. They get a little crazy at times, but that’s fine.”
