On Feb. 6, the California Elementary School's PTO sponsored their annual Me and My Special Guy Dance held in the school's gymnasium. In attendance were roughly 200 special guys and their dates which made the gymnasium light up in shades of reds, pinks and whites. The little ladies and young gentlemen had a blast while spinning their dates on the dance floor and doing fun group dances such as the "Whip & Nae Nae" and the ever popular "Cupid Shuffle." Young or old, there was music that you could tap your foot to.
Along with dancing, those special guys had the opportunity to take their pictures with fun props with their lucky dates, buy their date a beautiful carnation or enter for a chance to win a plush animal which were all donated by area businesses and individuals.
The PTO also had several goodie tables with punch and refreshments and also there was a table set up to send the students a candy gram during their Valentine's Day celebration.
Overall, I would say that the Me and My Special Guy Dance was a huge success this year and that many will be looking forward to it again next year.
