Jaylin Freeman scored 19 points, helping California notch a 57-42 victory over Versailles on Friday at California High School.
At the end of the first half, the Pintos commanded 30-23 lead after a 14-4 run.
Freeman found success all over the court for California, making 54 percent (7-for-13) of shots attempted while also sinking 57 percent (4-for-7) of free throws attempted.
Two other players also added ten or more points for California. Josh Woodruff and Landon Mouse each contributed 11 points. Also helping the effort for California were Jacob Wolken with 8 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals. Wyatt Bestgen contributed 6 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals. Woodruff was a big defensive contributor as well, racking up 10 rebounds and three steals.
The Pintos traveled to Boonville Tuesday, however game results were not available at press time.
They will play Hallsville Friday, Jan. 29.
