Christmas California Style kicks off Christmas season

Christmas California Style will provide 12 hours of holiday activities Saturday, Dec. 3.

Activities include:

8 a.m.-1 p.m., Wind and Willow dip tasting at The Flower Shop FAO, Inc

8 a.m.-5 p.m., register for ham drawing at Burgers Smokehouse

9 a.m.-2 p.m., free gift for first 25 visitors, door prize drawings and refreshments at Bond Pharmacy

9 a.m.-3 p.m., cards may be placed on the Memory Tree to register for a wreath drawing at Phillips Funeral Home

9 a.m. to noon, refreshments will be served at Hawthorn Bank

10 a.m., California Kids will perform at the Village Green. Cookies and hot chocolate included.

1-3 p.m., wine tasting at Mr. G's Liquor

5 p.m., "March of the Toys" parade will travel up Stella to Owen to Smith to Oak to South to High streets and then to the courthouse. Line up begins at 4 p.m. near the city pool. Winners will be announced at the courthouse.

following the parade, Mr. and Mrs. Santa will visit with children, the tree will be lit and the Sounds of Joy will perform.

following the parade, a soup supper will be served at The Christian Church

7 p.m., the Heart of America Chorus will perform at the Finke Theatre

7 p.m., a dance with John Cecilia will be held at the California Nutrition Center

7:15 p.m., "The Dirty Jokes and Magic Show" will begin at the West Ridge Event Center. Call 573-632-9732 for reservations.
