Three Mid-Missouri bridges to get new paint job

Bridges in Morgan and Cooper counties are scheduled to get new paint.

The Missouri Department of Transportation work will involve sandblasting the bridges to remove the old paint and then putting a new coat of paint on the steel bridge.

The local work will begin following the completion of a project on the Route 5 bridge over Interstate 44 in Laclede County.

The Route M bridge over Haw Creek in Morgan County will be painted after the Route 5 bridge repainting is complete. The contractor has 15 days to complete that job before moving to the Route Z bridge over Heaths Creek in Cooper County. It will take about 23 days to paint that bridge.
