The Eagles Club Aerie 4027 has held a Halloween event for many years. This year was no exception.

Many strange characters crowded into the Eagles Club for hot dogs, snacks, games and a good time Oct. 31.

The doors opened at 5 p.m. There was a flow of people, young and old, from then to about 6:30 p.m., when Eagles President Jared Hagenhoff called for the costumed young people to be judged for one of three categories - funniest, scariest and most original.

With such a variety of costumes on the young people, and in many cases, the adults accompanying them, judging was not at all easy.

The final result of the judging follows. Scariest: first place - Dominick Turco as Scary Pumpkin, second place - Izaiah Turco as Scary Scarecrow, and third place - Jackson Hoellering as Reaper; funniest: first place - Zane Gillmore as Dinosaur, second place - Jackson Purnell as Scoobie-Doo, and third place - Ryker Fleming as Policeman; and most original: first place - Tanisha Botts as Annabelle; second place - Kaysin Belt as Mummy; and third place - Isabella Vola as Queen.

Other trick-or-treating activities took place across town.

For example, a variety of characters, and their parents, stopped by the parking lot of the First Baptist Church Trunk or Treat.

The unusually pleasant weather drew many out to trick-or-treat.

There were several other Trunk Or Treat events in the area and a number of strange characters traveling the streets.
