The annual PTO Tough Pumpkin Run will be held Saturday, Oct. 21 at Old Riley Field behind the elementary school.
The event begins at 9 a.m and is open to people of all ages and fitness levels. It is $5 to participate in the race.
It is a 1/4-mile run, where participants will have to deal with obstacles, including a large inflatable one at the end of the race.
The money raised will go to the elementary school's PTO and will be used to fund special projects for the school.
Everyone who participates will receive a medal at the end of the race. There will also be T-shirts available for sale. It will be $15 for both the race and the T-shirt, if participants buy one.
There will also be fall-themed carnival games, where people can win prizes, as well as mums for sale.
Families can run in the race together and participants may register the day of the race.
Kim Robertson, from the PTO, said that the race is a fun way to encourage children to get outside and to be active.
