The California Pinto varsity golf team traveled to Ashland Thursday for the Class 2 District 4 Golf Tournament at Eagle Knoll Golf Course, where juniors Eric Birdsong and Grant Burger finished in the top 25 individually to advance to Class 2 Sectionals Wednesday, May 4, at Tanglewood Golf Course, Fulton.
California finished in fourth place as a team with 407. Eugene won the district championship with 376, followed by Hermann in second place with 378 and Southern Boone, third, with 385.
