At the regular monthly meeting of the Tipton R-VI School Board, the Tax Levy rate hearing was set for Monday, Aug. 15, at 6:45 p.m., just before the regular monthly meeting.
The board approved bids for the 2011-12 school year of bread from IBC Sales Corporation, milk from Prairie Farms, diesel from MFA Oil Company and technology equipment from Midwest Computech.
Meal costs for the coming school year were set. Lunch prices are: K-six - $1.65; seven-12 - $1.90; reduced price - 40 cents; adult - $2.30; extra entrees - $1.
Breakfast prices are: Student - $1.05; reduced - 30 cents; extra entrees -75 cents; adult -$1.30; extra milk -35 cents.
