ANDERSON
John Guy Anderson, 66, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away on Thursday May 5, 2011 at his residence.
He was born August 11, 1944 in California, Mo., the son of Edward Louis Anderson and Geneva Nadine (Harmon) Anderson whom preceded him in death.
He graduated from California High School. John worked for Missouri Power & Light and retired from Ameren UE after 34 years of service. He was in the National Guard 35th Support Group and a member of Roscoe Enloe American Legion Post 5 in Centertown.
He is survived by one son, Edward Anderson (Lisa) of Centertown, Mo.; one daughter, Dana Bax (Kevin) of Russellville; one brother, Mike Anderson (Janet) of Centertown, Mo.; two grandchildren, Cierra and Coy Bond; longtime special friend, Rita Bonnot and her daughters, Jean Lambirth (Jim), Carol Schaefer (Ralph), Joan Schaefer (Richard) , DeAnne Rickabaugh (Tim), Judy Bonnot; grandchildren, Wesley Lambirth, Katy Lambirth, Bradley Wilson (Jennifer), Lauren Wilson, Jennifer Cross (Jared), Justin Schaefer, Holly Schaefer, Laura Schaefer, Andy Garza, Melanie Garza ; great-grandchildren Gavin and Dallas Wilson.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home. Officiating will be Jack Bowlin. Burial with military honors will be in the Centertown Cemetery.

ASH
David Wayne Ash, 49, of Selma, Ala., passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2011.
He was born August 4, 1961, the son of Gene Ash and Judy (Rohrbach) Ash whom survive of California, Mo.
David was a 1979 graduate of California High School. He was united in marriage April 14, 1993 in Greenfield, Ohio, to Barbara Maynard who survives of the home.
He was a member of the Crosspoint Christian Church in Selma, Ala. He currently worked as an operations manager for Lear Corporation. David was an avid golfer, enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include: one daughter, Amber Hollis and husband Michael of Brighton, Mich.; two grandchildren, Trevor and Lauren Hollis. one brother Doug Ash and wife Rita of California, Mo. He was preceded in death by one brother, Daryl Ash.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m., at the Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home Chapel in California Mo. Burial was at Evangelical Cemetery in California Mo. Officiating was Rev. Larry Maynard assisted by Rev. Collette Jones.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to The First Tee, 425 S. Legacy Trail, St. Augustine, FL 32092, or Cahaba Hospice, 410 Church Street, Selma, AL 36701.

BOLINGER
Donald Russell Bolinger, 82, of California, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at his residence.
He was born May 28, 1928, in Moniteau County, the son of Ward Bolinger and Velma (Shores) Bolinger whom preceded him in death.
Don was a 1945 graduate of California High School. He was united in marriage on May 1, 1948 in Kansas City, Mo., to Bonnie Crane who survives of the home.
He was a member of Flag Springs Baptist Church where he served as President of the Cemetery Association for many years and held many offices. Don raised and showed Tennessee Walking Horses. He helped organize the Midwest Tennessee Walking Horse Trainers Association and judged the 1970 World Championships for Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration. Don owned and operated Versailles Livestock Auction that has been a family operation for many years.
He is survived by two sons, Kent Bolinger and wife Louisa, Greg Bolinger and wife Jeanne; four daughters, Connie Bolinger, Wanda Daugherity, Vickie Miller and Margie Bolinger; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and one dog, Penny. He was preceded in death by one son in-law Danny Miller.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 9, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the California First Baptist Church Sanctuary. Officiating was Pastor Ken Chapman. Burial was in the Flag Springs Cemetery.

SNEAD
Mildred Virginia (Herndon) Snead died Friday, May 6, 2011 at St. Joseph's Bluffs Care Center in Jefferson City, Missouri.
She was born February 19, 1919, near Jamestown, Missouri, to Edmund Frank and Tracy Ranz (Putnam) Herndon, the oldest of five children.
Mildred graduated from Bethel School near Jamestown at age 12 and went to Columbia to live with her grandmother, Mary Putnam, while attending Hickman High School. She graduated from Hickman in 1935 and from the Orten-Rice School of Business in Columbia. She met Grover Woodrow Snead while in college and they were married on Dec. 3, 1940 in Fulton, Missouri. They had been married for more than 67 years when he died on March 18, 2008.
She began college work at the University of Missouri prior to her marriage and continued her education in 1969 at Lincoln University where she graduated summa cum laude in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She was a member of the Kappa Omicron Phi, an honorary organization for home economists. Mildred was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 60 years, serving in several offices including Worthy Matron, District Grand Deputy and as a statewide officer. Born into several of the original pioneering families in northern Moniteau County, Mildred retained a vast knowledge about the area and a love for the history of the people who lived there. She was a lifetime member of the Moniteau County Historical Society and was awarded the society's Manitou Award for service. Mildred and Grover loved to travel. Together they visited all 50 states and many countries including trips to Europe, Russia and the Holy Land. Being active in Girl Scouting with her daughters gave her a life-long love of camping and an enjoyment of being in the out-of-doors. She and Grover made many camping trips with their granddaughter, Micaela, while she was growing up. Mildred was an excellent seamstress, needle worker and cook. She is remembered by many for her homemade breads and gooseberry pies. She could create a beautiful garden and she especially loved native flowers and grasses. She supported her children and grandchildren in school and family-oriented activities. She leaves a rich legacy of love and support for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her strong friendships and support for her community and church will be long remembered by all who knew her. Mildred became a Christian at an early age and was active in Baptist Churches all her life. She taught Sunday School for most of her adult life as well as serving as Church Media director in several churches for more than 40 years. At the time of her death, she was a member of First Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Virginia (Michael) Brizendine of Delaware, Ohio, and Theresa (Phillip) Maxwell of Kirkwood; three grandchildren, Micaela (Scott) Haymaker of Jefferson City, and Alek and Parker Maxwell of Kirkwood; and two great-grandchildren, Cody and Hailey Haymaker. Also surviving are two sisters, Pauline Steiner of California, Mo., and Hazel Seward of Yucca Valley, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews. Also preceding her in death were her parents, a brother, Roy Edmund Herndon, and a sister, Helen Ruth Smith.
Services will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California, Mo. Officiating will be Rev. Greg Morrow. Burial will be in California Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will also be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

TUTTLE
Craig Wayne Tuttle, 24, of California, Mo., passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 03, 2011 at his home.
He was born July 29, 1986 in Jefferson City, to Mark W. Tuttle and Sherlyn Girard Tuttle Koetting. His father survives in Clarksburg. His mother and stepfather Greg Koetting survive in Jefferson City Mo.
Craig always had a smile on his face and never stayed in a bad mood for long. He was fun to be around and always enjoyed a good joke. His greatest joy was realizing his dream of owning his own home in 2008. Craig reveled in visits from family and friends and his almost daily trips to Mr. G's for sodas. He took great pride in his pets, Pinto and Fluffy. They were a close-knit family of three. Craig liked nothing better than watching WWE wrestling or old westerns from his vast video collection on his big screen TV. He usually made sure he had bacon cheeseburgers and fries from Z Diner or Sonic for his idea of the perfect evening of TV watching. Both places knew his order before he even asked. Craig graduated from California High School in 2005 and began working at the upper level Capitol Projects workshop on Hwy 179 in Jefferson City shortly after. He developed close friendships there while learning new skills with each new job assignment.
In addition to his parents, Craig will be sadly missed by his sister and brother in-law, Alaina and Ryan Volkart; nephew, Connor Volkart; maternal grandmother, Lu Girard, paternal grandmother, Zoie Tuttle, whom are all of California, Mo.; two stepsisters, Amanda Koetting of Overland Park, Kan., and Laura Koetting of O'Fallon, Mo.; maternal aunts, Cindy Martin and friend David Wilde of Jefferson City, Mo., and Janell Coats of Heston, Kan.; paternal uncles, Ronald Tuttle and wife Patty of St. Louis, Richard Tuttle and wife Cindy, Robert Tuttle and wife Sue, Jim Tuttle and Ken Tuttle and wife Angie all of California, Mo.; and numerous cousins and friends. Craig was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, John C. "Jake" Girard and paternal grandfather, Eugene F. Tuttle.
Funeral services were held on Friday May 6, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services. Burial was at the California Evangelical Cemetery. Officiating was Rev. Collette Jones with Eulogist, Mayor Norris Gerhart.
Memorials are suggested to the Craig Wayne Tuttle Memorial Fund c/o Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, 100 S. Oak St. California, MO 65018. Craig often said he and the guys had nowhere to sit outside for breaks at the workshop. His family would like to provide one in his memory.
