Florence M. Hoss, 91 of Jamestown, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at California Care Center.

She was born on January 31, 1920 at Jamestown, Mo., the daughter of Frank and Anna (Lehmann) Wallenmeyer, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married on March 31, 1944 in Olathe, Kan., to Alfred B. Hoss who preceded her in death on December 7, 1994.

She attended Jamestown High School and Central Business College in Kansas City. She worked as a secretary for H. L. Meyer Co. and Businessmen's Assurance Co. in Kansas City, Mo. In 1946 she and her husband moved to Chicago, Illinois where she worked as Secretary/Nurse for her husband, Dr. Hoss, until their retirement to Jamestown in 1973. She was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church in California, Mo., and was a member of the California Red Hats, where she received much fellowship, fun and happiness.

Survivors include: a brother, Leonard A. Wallenmeyer of Russellville, Mo., and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a very special friend Violet Bolin. She was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Wallenmeyer, Jr.; and two sisters, Lorene Steiner and Berniece Bodenhamer.

Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Annunciation Catholic Church in California. Burial was in Grace United Methodist Cemetery in Jamestown. Officiating was Fr. Fred Elskamp.

MADSEN

Annabelle M. Madsen, 76, Tipton, died Aug. 29, 2011, at Good Shepherd Care Center, Versailles.

She was born Dec. 15, 1934, in Griswold, Iowa, daughter of Leslie and Anna Inkhen Robinson. She was married July 12, 1953, in Wiota, Iowa, to Dallas Madsen, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons, Scott Madsen, Toppenish, Wash.. and Dale Madsen, Irving, Texas; one daughter, Joyce Carter, Petaluma, Calif.; eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and one sister, Geraldine Nelson, Mexico, Mo.

Services were held Sept. 6, at Parent-Sorensen Funeral Home, Petaluma, Calif. Graveside services and interment were held Tuesday, at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon, Calif.
