Russellville Assembly of God needed hope. Due to a previous pastor, the church was left with five members and serious financial issues. Jeremy Higbie was approached to take on the project of seeing if the church was still viable or if the doors needed to be shut permanently.
"My father is a pastor," Higbie said. "I grew up in Kansas. When I was 16 years old my father took a job in Iberia. He has been there ever since. In high school I received baseball scholarship offers to a number of schools which were not full scholarships. I was ready to go and it hit me at one point. My heart was beginning to change. I knew God wanted me to go Central Bible College in Springfield to begin a career in ministry. I went ahead and was happy there."
