The third of the monthly household hazardous waste drop-offs for Moniteau County residents will be Saturday, June 9, at Tipton from 9 to 11 a.m.
To make an appointment to drop items off at the facility, call the Tipton City Hall at 660-433-2323 and inform them of what hazardous waste materials are to be dropped off.
Appointments are scheduled at 10-minute intervals at the facility located at 210 North Pacific Street, in Tipton, behind the city's public works building.
After making an appointment, the facility may be found by going north on Route B at the traffic light, continue across the railroad tracks, turn east on Howard Street, then take the turn onto North Pacific Street. The facility, which is a truck box without wheels, is near the corner.
The facility is funded in part by a grant from the Mid Missouri Solid Waste Management District and will be in operation from April through October.
