The evening began with a warm welcome from High Point Administrator Stan Elliott. The High Point band shared two numbers, "Holly Jolly Christmas" and "Rudolph, the Red Nosed Reindeer," which got everyone's feet tapping.

Seventh and eighth grade students introduced each selection performed by sharing the history of the song.

The kindergarten class entertained the packed house with "Away in a Manager," accompanied by third and fourth grade teacher Galen O'Donnell on guitar. They concluded with "Santa Claus is Coming to Town."

"Silent Night," "Here Comes Santa Claus" and "Here We Come A Wassailing" were selections sang by High Point first and second graders.

The third and fourth graders got the crowd into a festive spirit by sharing "Nuttin' for Christmas," "Jolly Old St. Nicholas" and "Joy to the World."

Fifth and sixth graders sang "Go Tell it on the Mountain," "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing" and "Caroling, Caroling."

To round out the evening, the seventh and eighth grade class performed "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year," "Holly Jolly Christmas" and "The Twelve Days of Christmas," in which, they sang acappella.

In conclusion, the entire student body moved throughout the gym and sang "The Chipmunk Song" with actions.

Elliott presented Brown with a token of appreciation. He also shared his appreciation for all the High Point R-III students and staff. He thanked all in attendance for their support of the students and school.

The students, staff, family and friends in attendance adjourned to the cafeteria for Christmas treats.
