C&R Supermarket is nearing the time for its move to larger accommodations next to its present location.

According to David Ratliff, California store manager, the local staff and corporate personnel are preparing the new facility for operation. With double the square footage of the old store, customers entering the new premises will find all departments expanded, including meat, freezer and dairy areas. In addition, fresh bread and a full-service bakery and deli will be operating in the south part of the store. Everything is updated and the bakery features convection ovens. A seating area for deli customers will include several tables and chairs with walls murals courtesy of the California High School Art Classes of Brad Friedrich.

Six-foot refrigerator and freezer cases replace the old open-front cases used in the old store. Several moveable open cases will allow special items to be on display and wider aisles make for easier shopping.

Fresh-baked bread will be a feature initially with specialty cakes to be added soon.

One new service to begin soon is catering. The service will do small or large orders, family reunions or whatever the customer may want.
