The winter storm which pounded the region Sunday is moving slowly eastward.
Any heavy accumulating snow across eastern Missouri is expected to end on Sunday night, but a chance for some lingering snow showers continues through Monday.
Travel continues to be potentially hazardous (see road report links below), especially where streets and roads have not been well plowed or treated. Power outages have been smaller in number for area electric suppliers compared to the last major winter storm (see links to area utilities below).
The NWS issued the following statement for Mid-Missouri:
