High Point R-III eighth graders, Brady Asbury, Gracie Blankenship, Michaela Dean, Caitlyn Fisher, Abby Harris, Wyatt Percival, Maria Schulte, Shelbie Scott, McKenna Turpin, Joshua Volkart and Hannah Warden presented "Homework Eats Dog and Other Woeful Tales, Friday, May 10, during the eighth grade banquet.

The play, written by Alan Haehnel, was a delightful story of students asking their professor, Mr. Kobekeaneski, for an extension on their project due on Friday the 13th. The professor took great pride in not granting extensions over his 23 year career for any reason. The cast of characters made the young and the young at heart bellow in laughter as the students filed into the office with various reasons for an extension.

The banquet dinner was prepared by Lutz Barbecue and included brisket, chicken, mashed potatoes, corn, green beans, rolls, salad, cookies and brownies. The eighth grade students, parents and faculty were served by the seventh graders of the school.
