The California High School girls' golf team wrapped up the 2013 season with a banquet Oct. 28 at the California Country Club, where athletes, Coach Ashley Atteberry, family and friends gathered to reflect on the season following a carry-in dinner provided by parents.
Atteberry presented each of the golfers a gift and card, while the golf team presented a gift certificate to Atteberry.
"Overall, I think we had a very successful season," Atteberry said. "Many of the girls improved their scores from the last season and it started with the dedication they had throughout the summer, coming to many practices, which carried on throughout the season. Most of the girls also were able to achieve a personal goal that they had set at the beginning of the season. The girls made my first season as golf coach very enjoyable and I appreciate the hard work and dedication they brought to the sport."
