The Russellville Lady Indians hosted Chamois Sept. 24, where the varsity won 21-25, 25-21 and 25-15.
"The girls rallied together to win the third game after our senior setter went down with a knee injury," Russellville Coach Shelly Korte said. "It didn't matter who I put in, they hustled and played hard to pull out a victory!"
Previously, Russellville hosted Calvary Lutheran Sept. 23, where the varsity won 25-21 and 25-21.
"The girls put it all together," Korte said. "We weren't in a hurry to get the ball back over, we passed, set and hit the ball. I'm very proud of the girls and their enthusiasm!"
Kristi Dulany had 18 assists, three kills and one ace. Halie Dampf had 13 assists and one kill and Haley Windsor had three kills, two blocks and four aces. Hannah Morrow had two aces and one kill.
Russellville's JV lost to Calvary Lutheran 9-25 and 16-25.
"We didn't play as well as we could have," Korte said. "The JV usually has a 'spark,' so we have to get that back to play better."
The Lady Indians hosted Eugene Thursday, where both the varsity and JV suffered a loss.
Russellville's varsity lost 11-25, 25-23 and 14-25.
"Our varsity played strong overall," Korte said. "We were down two players and we had a new line-up. But the girls worked hard. I'm still very proud of them and their attitudes on the court."
The JV Lady Indians lost 10-25 and 13-25 to Eugene.
"Our JV didn't play with the intensity that they have played with in the past games," Korte said. "We need to get our spunk back."
Russellville will host Versailles at 6 p.m. Thursday.
